The meaning behind the Sanskrit word Rudraksha is "tears of Shiva." During meditation in the Himalayas, Shiva shed tears of compassion for the betterment of humanity. These tears crystallized upon touching the ground and formed the Rudraksha tree, which is said to bring balance and create space for positive thoughts. The beads are also used in Ayurveda as a traditional medicine. The Turquoise Blue beads are associated with the Throat chakra, known as Visuddhi, which helps with purification and balance. By practicing pranayama, or controlled breathing, one can heighten the effects of this chakra. It is located in the throat or larynx, where sound vibrations are transformed into mantras. Just as mantras are soothing and healing, hurtful words can have a negative impact on both the speaker and the listener. By balancing the throat chakra, one can achieve spiritual purification and improve communication.
